Nowadays, most mineral processing plants adopt wet ore dressing process, but the concentrate and tailings often contain high moisture content, which cannot be smelted directly. In addition, the water content of concentrate and the utilization ratio of tailings recycling water will directly influence the transportation cost and investment cost. That means dewatering operation is an essential link in ore dressing process.

As the next dewatering operation after thickening, Xinhai also put enough effort into on filtering equipment. It has developed and improved many types of filter and dewatering screen, which fully ensured the concentration of concentrate and tailings can reach the standard, and the concentrate moisture can decrease from 45-60% to 10-18%, then Xinhai also successfully applied for many national patents.
With the help of CFD model, 3D model system and other professional design theory, Xinhai has successfully produced the leading high-efficient hydrocyclone in the world, which can be combined with each other for adapting to different process requirements. The thickening and dewatering efficiency was up to 80% ~ 90%; At the same time, the hydrocyclone was lined with Xinhai wear-resistant rubber that extended service life of 2-4 times.
Xinhai Iran Arasbaran 300 tpd gold flotation project adopted "stage grinding" – single stage gravity separation - stage flotation” process, the processing capacity was up to 350 tons per day, and 5000 tons high-grade gold concentrate can be produced every year. In the dewatering operation, the gold concentrate was pumped to XMZG60/1000 disc vacuum filter for dewatering, the filter cake was transported and stored by belt conveyor; the tailings was sent to XMZ350/1500 press filter for dewatering, the filter cake was transported to tailings pond for storage. Finally, the water content of gold concentrate was only 12%, and the water content of tailings was reduced from 70% to 15%.
