Shandong Pingdu iron mine was a typical magnetite mine, and the iron content was around 28%, which included 10% of magnetic iron. Xinhai Mining Technology & Equipment Inc. carried out the mineral processing test, and recommended process flow which was adaptive to the ore characteristics.

The disseminated magnetic iron was relatively coarse, and the ore resource could be used economically and reasonably by applying process of coarse grinding, roughing separation, discarding tailings, and stage grinding & stage magnetic separation. The iron grade of iron concentrate was 68%, and the iron recovery rate was 88%-90%.
